Name: Rodiker Ikari
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Height: 5’11
Weight: 155lbs
Allegiance (if any): Plague Dogs
Physical appearance: Rod is a thin wisp of a man being 5’11” tall and only weighing 155 pounds. He is built like a wire with good sculpted definition making him strong but still quick, flexible and agile. Rod’s body structure is one that will never allow him to be a square solid rock, he will always remain thin and twiggy, no matter how much he works out.
Sitting a top his head, Rod’s glowing reddish auburn hair is cut in a basic hair style. It is buzzed short in the back and filled with short spikes in the front. Rod styles his spikes with that classic organized mess that women seem to find attractive.
Rod can normally be seen in an unbuttoned dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows and under the dress shirt he wears a tight wife beater tank top. His bottom half is adorned with tight jeans and combat boots. This outfit gives off a lady’s man/pretty boy appearance and even though he lives in the slums, he appears pristine, clean and well dressed. When one looks closely, he has very little dirt on him for a gang member and looks more like a mid class citizen. Rod is very vain and takes pride in his appearance and good looks.
Personality: Rod is a sure footed, confident, arrogant prick who strives to always be the best and in his mind, always succeeds in that. He has very little regard for human life and will kill for no reason and without hesitation. He firmly believes that if you end up dead, it’s your own damn fault and wont lift a finger to help you… unless it’s to his benefit. However, there are two people in his life where this rule does not apply, not that they would get themselves killed anyways, and this would be the gang leader Seneca and his best friend Dinnin. Being the only people that he has ever trusted with anything, he keeps them close and secretly watches over them, making sure they don’t get into “serious trouble” (by their gang standards anyways). Besides, it’s a dog eat dog world out there and you should have at least two good mates watching your back.
Due to Rod’s intense distrust in humanity he does not seem to have many friends. He tries to keep to himself and for the most part his cold and fierce attitude keep most people at bay. However, Rod does love the ladies and can turn on the charm at a moments notice. Even though he is known throughout the slums as a notorious player, that does not keep the women out of his bed. He seems to have a mystical way with words and actions that no female can turn down, save one and that one has stolen his heart. Although he will never admit it to her or anyone else, there is no other woman he will ever be committed and fully devoted to. Picking up women is like a hobby to him, a challenge, something to do to pass the time until this one woman finally gives up and says yes.
One of Rod biggest pet peeves is when people assume he is related to the mafia leaders. He is in now way related to those pigs and considers it an insult when anymore thinks he belongs to that family. This only feeds his hatred for mafia Ikari family more.
Hobbies: In his down time, Rod can be seen fixing and riding his motorcycle, going to nigh clubs, dancing, picking up chicks, and gambling and drinking with his fellow gang members. At times Rod will seem to disappear, not leaving any trace. No one knows where he goes but in actuality Rod goes to go to high class bars above plate (well he used to, now he just goes to Edge) and thinks about the life he could have had. Sulking, he wonders if he made the right choice.
History: Rod was born and raised in a very well off and highly educated family on the plate. Having an uncle who was a Shinra Executive, his father leached off the political popularity of his brother. Everything his family had been given was received for free without lifting a finger. The fame, fortune, popularity and political control made his parents snobbish and greedy, and he hated them for that.
As Rod grew up he received everything he wanted and nothing was out of his reach. Realizing this at a young age, Rod asked for private fighting lessons from the best teachers. At age 10 he was receiving lessons in hand to hand combat, fire arms, tumbling and (for some weird reason, on his parents request) world languages. Little did Rod know that his parents allowed these classes because it taught him the necessary skills needed to become a military officer. A military officer who would one day have great political power.
For the next five years Rod longed to use his skills outside of a practice room setting. All Rod ever seemed to do as a teenager was attend huge political functions and private parties posing as a prized son to make his parents look good. As he grew older and more aware of his own desires, he longed for more. Sitting in a class room, in a well protected home and attending parties was not his idea of adventure and excitement. Every morning Rod would open the newspaper and read about the inner gang struggles in the slums and it made his blood boil. Now that was exciting, that was the life he wanted, but sadly he knew that was the one thing he could never have.
On his 15th birthday, Rods parents present to him was paid tuition to a prestigious and very expensive military school. Finally realizing that his parents were using him as a political tool he refused to go. He was tired of getting everything for free, tired of getting something for nothing and more importantly, he was tired of being used. He wanted adventure and excitement… he wanted to live his own life.
Being appalled at their sons sudden defiance they ordered him to attend the school and accused him of being selfish for not thinking about all the time and money they invested into his training. His anger rising to boiling point, Rod punched his father in the face and spit at his mother feet. He left this house, his belonging, his family and headed to the slums to start a new life. He never looked back, not even once.
Upon entering the slums Rod was an obvious target for many fights and brawls due to his obvious high class appearance. Fighting well against a few of adversaries, Rod was slowing showing slum inhabitants that he was not to be messed with. One night while in a bar, he caught the attention of a large group of bikers. Wanting to put Rod in his place, the bikers surrounded him and beat the shit out of him. Their numbers were to great to fend off but Rod put up one hell of a fight. As he lay in a puddle of his own blood focusing on breathing to avoid the pain, he was approached by a local gang member, Seneca, who offered him shelter if he joined her gang. Having no where else to go, he accepted her offer.
Due to his obvious above plate attire, Rod was challenged daily after entering the Plague Dogs. Fending off all of his attackers, he stayed close by Seneca’s side and made a strong bond with the gang member, quickly becoming one of her most valued comrades. Personally the gang was not important to him, they provided protection and a roof over his head… that was it. However, wanting to pay back Seneca for her kindness and knowing what the gang meant to her, he personally vowed to destroy any opposition the Plague Dogs had. He lead many crushing battles against their enemies and his reputation quickly grew. In a short period of time he had become one of the most deadly and most feared members. To this day, very few challenge him.
Weapon/armor/accessory: Modified biker gloves that extend to cover his mid forearm. The knuckles of these gloves are with fitted with obvious metal plates, making punches more solid. In the sleeves of the gloves are crystal clear throwing darts. With Rods skills he can hold three dart in each and can throw them with a flick of his wrist. No materia slots.
For a back up weapon, Rod keeps an collapsible police baton on his belt. No materia slots.
For armor Rod has a Platinum Bangle with two unlinked materia slots.
For his accessory he owns a Poison Ring.
Materia: Platinum Bangle: Restore (lvl 1) and Heal (lvl 2)
